RAID: World War II closed beta and pre-order available Thursday
Starbreeze Publishing, OVERKILL Software and Lion Game Lion today unveiled that the closed beta test and pre-orders for RAID: World War II will kick start on August 31 in an exclusive event for PAYDAY 2 players on the digital distribution platform Steam. PAYDAY 2 players will additionally be able to participate in the closed beta until September 17.
An open beta will additionally be hosted on Steam Saturday and Sunday, September 2nd-3rd. To celebrate the events, a dev diary from Lion Game Lion is now available on YouTube.
Available tomorrow, aspiring raiders will have the option to pre-order the game for PC on Steam with two options:
- RAID: World War II Standard Edition at $39.99, including:
- Pre-order exclusive: An Army Crate containing special goodies
- RAID: World War II Special Edition at $64.99 which includes the Standard Edition plus:

(If you have PAYDAY 2, it will be upgraded to PAYDAY 2 Ultimate Edition).
Pre-order discount and PAYDAY 2 loyalty discount
By pre-ordering, players will get a 10% discount on both editions. On top of that, existing PAYDAY 2 players will receive an additional 5% off on the base game, and 15% off on the Special Edition.
PAYDAY 2 players will thereby gain total loyalty discount of 15% on the RAID: World War II Standard Edition and an amazing 25% off on the RAID: World War II Special Edition.
